Answering the Lord's Commission to take the gospel into all the world, our congregation has partnered in mission with financial and prayer support through a variety of ministries. Our missions for 2009 include a budget of over $9,000 to directly support the following.
Missionaries Tim and Marta Carriker
Originally from the Pittsburgh area the Carrikers and their three children Jennifer, Tim Jr., and Sarah will be returning to Brazil in January 2003. The Carrikers teach evangelism, Bible, and church planting to native Brazilians in the Mission Training Center in Florianopolis. Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship
In many countries there are groups of people among whom there is no viable,evangelizing, native church. Frontier Fellowship works to establish a witnessing church among unreached people groups around the world. Visit them at www.pff.net.
Emmanuel Hospital Association
EHA is a network of 19 Christian Mission Hospitals and 29 community based health care programs serving north India's untouchable class. It is committed to the ministry of healing in the name of Jesus to the poorest of the poor. The EHA Model is to train Indian staff, including doctors and nurses, as providers of health care and Christian witness. The vision for 2003 is to establish India's first HIV/AIDS Hospital and training center in New Delhi. Track EHA's mission at www.ehausa.org.
Missionary Amber Morris
In December 2002, a West Kittanning woman arrived in Thailand to begin linguistic work with Wycliff Bible Translators. She completed her orientation during the Fall in the Phillippines and now begins her work studying the language and culture of Thailand. Her work will impact future missions to Thailand. Helping Abuse Victims in Need
HAVIN provides emergency shelter and counseling for individuals affected by abuse in the home. Located in Kittanning, staff members assist women and children with food, clothing, employment, education, and travel needs. Our contact is through the Deacons.

- Presbytery Resource Center located in the Presbytery Offices in Yatesboro, hundreds of materials of r teaching, worship, and leadership are provided.
- Truckstop Ministry on Interstate 80 at Brookville with Chaplain Bob Bickerstaff to travelers and truckers in Christian outreach and emergencies.
- State Park Summer Chaplain Ministry offers Christian worship and ministry at Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Park with a resident Chaplain.
- Church Camps at Westminster Highlands and Lambec offer Christian camping facilities and program for children and families. Camp information can be found at www.capnwp.org.
- Presbyterian Homes at St. Andrews Village in Indiana, PA offers retirement settings for seniors in residential and nursing home accommodations.
- Our congregation is joining with other churches of the Presbytery to raise funds to purchase motor bikes for Ewandan Pastors to travel to their churches and make visitations. Until now Pastors in rural areas must do their travel by walking or depending on others for transportation. Visit the Presbytery website for full information at www.kiskipby.org.
- Our new Mission Committee is working on special community needs in our area which currently is raising funds and volunteers to replace the roof of a local family in need.
